Throughout the past year, I have featured a runner who I think inspires when you watch them. They have been people that have made me want to get out and run, but also people who I have modelled, considered when out running and used to emulate when requiring speed and strength in races.

The very first Hypnosis For Running Inspirational Imagery article is here and explains in more detail.

As we near the end of the year, I wanted to get in one more Inspirational Imagery post. After the UK’s Sports Personality of The Year, whereby Lord Sebastian Coe received a lifetime achievement award following his efforts in bringing the Olympics to London and staging them in a way that made us proud, people may tend to forget what an incredible runner he was.

Today, I have added the two Olympic gold medal 1500m events that he ran. They show his rival of the day Steve Ovett and we get to see the very fresh faced Steve Cramm before he started to dominate the field too.

Here is his first Olympic 1500 gold medal in Moscow in 1980:

Here is his second Gold in the 1984 Olympics:

Well that is it from this Hypnosis for Running blog for this year. I am going to be back with a vengeance in 2013 as we have lots of running to do, a get running campaign to kick off 2013 with, my new book to launch (Hypnosis for Running: Using Your Brain To Maximise Your Running Performance) and lots more stuff to share.

Have a fabulous  festive season, I look forward to being back here in the New Year.
